Efteling Digital Signage
I had the opportunity to animate a set of new digital signage screens at the Efteling, translating a hand-drawn fairytale world into motion that reads clearly from a distance.
The brief was to keep the park’s illustrated heritage intact while making the content legible on large-format LED at walking pace. Every scene had to land its message in under four seconds.
I built a modular After Effects system: a shared timing grid, reusable transition wipes, and text blocks driven by expressions so the park team can swap copy without re-animating a frame.
The result is a library of loops that feel hand-drawn but behave like a product — consistent pacing, consistent safe areas, and a predictable rhythm across every screen in the park.
